    I bought some cheap goggles with yellow lenses and the result is amazing!

    I think the reason they work is because yellow attenuates blue light preferentially, and bits of the texture of a groomed (or otherwise not perfectly even) slope reflect different amount of the sky, which is mostly blue light.

    So thanks for the tip! I have also got some prescription glasses made in yellow - into a Julbo sunglass frame, like this

    150 quid for the lenses, including reading inserts (i.e. bifocals).
